The Index is entirely student-produced and serves the University and Kirksville, Missouri communities. It is published each Thursday that classes are in session.

It was named "Best In State College Newspaper" during 2014 and "Best in Division" during 2015 by the Missouri College Media Association.

I serve as final read for all pages and make all steering decisions for the newspaper. I oversee content selection, editing, design, marketing, distribution, photography, training procedures, and serve as a voting member on the University's Media Board.
