As the 2013-14 Truman State University Index Managing Editor, I and another editor led a roundtable discussion about leadership in student media with student media members from public and private Missouri colleges and universities.

The annual, traveling conference offers workshop sessions and awards college media members for outstanding work. The 2014 session was hosted by Truman State University.

Eagle Scout

Boy Scouts of America

 

I attained the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 311 from Jackson, Missouri.

The award is scouting's highest honor and requires completion of an individual community serivce project, as well as acquisition of 21 merit badges that teach skills ranging from lifesaving to rifle shooting to wilderness survival.
